Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow.

Well, up to a point, of course.  At some point in Northern Nevada the snow creates great havoc with people and shrubbery.  Just ask the Donner party!  Seriously, we want to impart some practical tips on what snowy conditions mean for trees and shrubs in the Reno area.  You need to be prepared for the worst.

If they become damaged pruning is the option.  It is always safety first.  Have a professional inspect your tree(s) for power line contact.  A certified arborist needs to deal with the situation.  Do NOT use a ladder to try to remove excess snow from branches!  Do not leave any stubs when pruning.  The sharpest possible tools must be used.

This is a job for a tree professional.  No, this is a job for THE TREE PROFESSIONAL!  And, guess what?  He is in your back yard.  He is Greg Chavez.  Just visit thetreeprofessional.com and see for yourself.  When heavy snowfall hits the Reno area call the Tree Professional immediately at (775) 420-8694.
