ZAAAP!

There is a sound we never want to hear if you or a loved one are climbing one of your trees to do your own trimming.  It’s “shocking” how many homeowners are injured trying to trim trees near overhead electrical wires.  Tackling a project on your own that may otherwise cost some money certainly can be gratifying, but come on!  Where do you draw the line?

Terrible accidents can happen when a homeowner uses pole-mounted cutting tools and/or metal ladders to trim backyard trees and shrubs. Too often, an energized overhead wire is not noticed and is touched by pruning tools, causing injury or death…ZAAAP!  You know better, right?  Don’t try to be the Paul Bunyan of Northern Nevada.

So, there it is.  You can try to be a hero and save a few bucks, or you can call The Tree Professional.  That’s right www.thetreeprofessional.com Reno’s premier tree removal, trimming, and pruning service.  Greg and his crew are used to dancing with electrical wires.  Let them do the dirty work!  Call (775) 420-8694 today.

Have You been Pruning?

No, not from the sun…although it is good to keep an eye on that as well.  What have you done about your spring-flowering trees and shrubs?  Trees and shrubs that bloom in the spring season such as lilac, rhododendron, magnolia, mock orange and forsythia, all bear flowers on wood formed the previous year.

Arborists have determined that the best time to prune these plants is immediately after they finish flowering in late spring.  Since summer is underway, it is really important to keep your spring bloomers be as healthy as possible by removing 1/4 to 1/2 of the oldest shoots all the way to the ground - this will allow younger stems to thrive.

Your local arborists are The Tree Professionals serving all of the Reno area.  They have been pruning all types of trees in Northern Nevada for many years.  Whatever is needed on your property, trimming, pruning, removal, or hauling please give Greg and his team a call for your next important tree-care project at (775) 420-8694.
