The First Hard Freeze will come Soon.

You probably know that temperatures below 32 degrees over an extended period of time are cold enough to freeze your tree's buds, blossoms, fruit, leaves, and/or twigs. At this time of year in Northern Nevada, those days are in the offing! The Tree Professional of Reno is here to help.

You can take these steps –

1.  Cover your plants with burlap.

2.  Bring in potted plants.

3.  Wood chip mulch may very well prevent soil moisture loss as well as insulate roots.

4.  You could plant frost-sensitive plants near sources of reflective heat.

The Tree Professional of Reno has other tips that they could share with you by calling (775) 420-8694. When a tree, shrub, or other growing thing on your Northern Nevada property needs assistance, The Tree Professional is ready to help. See their many talents at thetreeprofessional.com.
