When Trees Become Hedges.

It is an intriguing prospect.  Why not consider planting trees that function as hedges on your property?  Deciduous trees lined up in a hedge row generally provide screening only during the spring/summer growing season.  Evergreen trees however, both the broad and narrow-leaved types, are effective year-round as hedges.

Keep in mind that most trees can’t be rejuvenated by pruning them back to ground level.  Trees do not fill in as well when topped - and most should not be topped.  Since trees take longer to fill in space as they are planted farther apart, the initial planting may look sparse and take several years to achieve the exact appearance that you desire.

Tree Removal…Safety First!
