Wait a Little Longer Before Having Your Trees Pruned.

It is recommended that you should not begin pruning the trees on your Northern Nevada property until the leaves start to drop, at least in late October. You may feel that because the weather is nice you should have it done now. The Tree Professional of Reno says NOT JUST YET!

Here are some reasons why it should be put off –

1.  Your plants are more at risk now for a fungal disease.

2.  After the leaves drop you can see the structure of the tree better.

3.  October/November may also be a good time for root trimming.

4.  If there is any visible damage, you don’t hesitate to do it now.

Whatever your motivation, healthy trees should be pruned by the professional tree pruning team led by Greg Chavez at The Tree Professional. All around Northern Nevada Greg is ready to prune your trees on your private or public land. Just call the office at (775) 420-8694.
