Trimming Hedges.

Start with this premise…new hedges should be pruned from an early stage to establish a shape and prevent unhealthy growth.  The amount you prune back will depend on the type of hedge.  We recommend that you start shaping the hedge as soon as practical.  A formal hedge whether new or established, should be tapered so that it is wider at the bottom than the top.

Once the hedge is established, regular maintenance will ensure it keeps healthy as well as neat.  Some can even cut the hedge by just judging with their eyes.  Again, we recommend that it’s a good idea to set your lines with lengths of string taut between canes.  Yes, it is probably more of an exact science than you think.

That is why we are The Tree Professionals…professional arborists who help keep Northern Nevada beautiful…one property at a time!  Let The Tree Professionals trim your hedges and other green and growing things on your Reno area property.  Just give us a call from the very beginning at (775) 420-8694.

Hug a Tree.

It may sound a bit “hippyish” on the surface, but it is a metaphor to remember when protecting the health of the trees on your Northern Nevada land.  Trees can enhance any property with beauty, shade, tranquility, and home value.  Because they’re so advantageous to keep healthy, it’s crucial to learn as much as you can about tree care tips for your property.

Here are some –

1.  Prune those unruly branches.
2.  Inspect them periodically for damage from insects, disease, etc.
3.  Nourish them with organic mulch.
4.  Try to plant new trees in the fall.
5.  Sometimes just leave them alone to grow at their own pace.

No matter how much TLC you give to the trees on your Reno area property you still may need a tree professional now and then.  That’s where we come in.  We are aptly named The Tree Professional servicing all that matters where green and growing things are concerned in and around Reno.  We will be here when you need us.  Just call (775) 420-8694.
